26 days left before the due date. But fewer than 5% of babies are born on their due date and usually 90% of babies are born within 2 weeks of the due date.* Apparently I should be ready from April 18 to May 16 to have a baby. That's quite a big window of preparedness. I do think we're ready. The last remaining items to purchase are diapers and a diaper bag... plus a few other non-essentials.
Although I don't like predicting the gender of the baby, I don't mind guessing when the baby will be born. Brad has picked May 10. I told him if I had to wait that long then I would hold out for May 11, the series finale of LOST. That would cramp his style!
My mother would be happy if it was May 4, my grandmother Marion's birthday.
One of my coworkers keeps telling me it just better not happen at work. He's been telling me this since February.
Really I'd like it to happen on a Friday, so there are two extra days off of work for Brad.
Hopefully it will be in May because we have a lot of things to do in April, like see "Legally Blonde" the musical, go to Roller Derby, go to book club, get ready for Lea's bridal shower and find as many geocaches as possible. But I don't think I have a say in the matter, so when ever Baby Felber decides to join us, we'll be ready.
What date would you like in the pool? Why? Leave your guess in the comments.
