Merry Christmas and Advent Day 23 & 24

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas.  We had a nice weekend at Lindsey and Andy's in Minnesota.  We were so busy that we didn't upload photos for Advent Day 23 and 24, so I thought I'd upload those a bit late.

Advent Calendar Day 22

Tumbleweed = Belinda!

Belinda has been rolling around the floor like a little tumbleweed.  She likes to head for the Christmas tree.  I'm having a fun time watching her roll around.  She's learning how to set her head down gently instead of bonking it on the floor.  Today there are 2 photos, one of her on her side and the next minute she's on her stomach.  Just imagine this happening all day long.

Advent Calendar Day 21

We're a bit late- But we'll post the 22nd later today to make up for it.  You can have 2 posts for the price of one.

Basically Belinda rolls all over the place now.  I spend more time making sure she doesn't get her head stuck between the TV stand and her Jumperoo or that she doesn't bonk her head on the wood too much.  Once I moved the laptop stand out of the way, nothing stood between her and the Christmas tree.  She spent a lot of the afternoon rolling and rolling just to get the ornaments.

I did not put her here - she rolled under the tree herself!

Advent Calendar Day 20

Friends!  We went to Yoli and Lyndia's house this afternoon.  Lyndia was napping so the little ones had some time to play together.  I consider Yoli the crystal ball because she is 1 month older than Belinda.  She may be a bit smaller but she has some serious skills.  This is just a quick photo I captured with my phone.  I can't believe there are only 4 days left until Christmas.  I hope you're all ready.

Advent Calendar Day 19

Today was the Felber Family Christmas!  I have two photos to share.  Belinda had a great time seeing her Grandma Sandy, Aunt Margie, Uncle Scott and cousins: Brandt, Alina and Isabelle.  We had delicious food and Belinda got some great exercise on the floor.  Maybe that will help her sleep tonight.

Belinda also received a Minnie Mouse - and she likes chewing on the nose.  It was a good first Christmas celebration with the Felbers.

Advent Calendar Day 18

Check, check, checking the mail.  Belinda has a new favorite thing - that'd be paper.  She can play with it for a long time.  So today she helped us check the mail.  It kept her entertained for at least 10 minutes.

Comfy Cozy!  Belinda is all bundled up but she's exhausted after our visit to the nursing home.  She fell asleep during the 8 block car ride home.  I just had to snap a photo of her coziness.

Belinda is ready for bed. But we were waiting for Dad to get home.  We had a mini-photo session on the couch.  I hope you this shot like I did!

Hi folks!  Today was a normal day - nothing special, so I just have a cute picture of Belinda to share.  She's rolling all over the place, but sometimes she sits still and looks cute.  Here is a photo of that.

Yes, last night we told someone this was a white pine and she believed us. :)  Nope - it is just a beautiful fake white tree.  All the better to see the ornaments more clearly.

Belinda doesn't move much so we don't need to worry about her attacking the tree, but if we place her close enough she can grab a hold of it.

Advent Calendar Day 13

Cold blustery day = good for warm sweats.  Belinda tried on her new 9-12 month outfit.  Go Pack, Go!

It is obvious we didn't manage to take a photo with a regular camera so we had to make do with one Brad took with his iphone.  Belinda doesn't care! :)  She's warm and cozy with her little football flowered sweatshirt.

We hope you're all warm and cozy too.

Attack of the Bubba!

Belinda loves to snuggle her stuffed animals.  She can bend forward and enjoys just grabbing on to her toys and kissing, smooching and hugging them.  I caught her in action today.

Today cousin Isabelle spent the afternoon with us.  She was excellent at entertaining Belinda.  We baked cookies, played Wii and also played Uno.  Isabelle liked holding Belinda as well.  I have a feeling they'll be good friends in the future.

Last night Brad and I went to the H.M.S. Pinafore and I forgot to post to the Advent Calendar when I got home.  So I thought today I'd show Belinda on here way to bed and Belinda in the morning.  There are a few subtle differences. It is almost like one of those games where you circle the difference in the picture.

Take time to Play!

Belinda enjoys using her jumperoo and I had fun today trying to get a good shot of her.  She's really starting to show her personality and loves it when I blow her kisses.  I hope you all take time out to play and relax during this holiday season.

O Christmas Tree!  Belinda is curious.  As Brad says, Belinda thinks that anything within her arms' reach is hers.  She can't crawl yet, so our tree is safe, but here is a photo of her checking out the ornaments.

Advent Calendar - Day 5

Happy 2nd Sunday of Advent! We took Belinda to church today.  We like how the sunlight comes in through the glass windows, so we plopped her down on the floor at the front of the church.  She doesn't sit still for long and grabs for anything she sees.  I'm not sure what she's grabbing for in this photo.

Advent Calendar - Day 4

Happy Saturday!  Belinda is getting back to a regular sleeping schedule.  She takes 1 nap in the morning if she wakes up earlier than 6:00am.  She takes 2 naps if she wakes up earlier.  Today is a 2 nap morning and I snapped a photo to share with you.

Sometimes sleeping makes Christmas come faster.  Belinda is doing her best to encourage Christmas to arrive.

 We wish you all the same peacefulness that Belinda has found.

Advent Calendar - Day 3

Happy December!  

Today Belinda and I went to the mall to visit Santa.  She was a great kid and thought Santa's beard was very interesting.  For those of you who are getting your photos at Mayfair, you're allowed to take one photo with your own camera for free.  Then you can purchase one of the photos they take.  I purchased a 5x7 that will probably make an appearance on the Christmas Card, but I also took a photo with our digital camera.  I thought I'd share that here for Day 3!

Thanks for visiting.  We're supposed to get snow tonight, so maybe tomorrow's photo will feature some of the white stuff.

Advent Calendar - Day 2

All the gifts are ready and it is time to wrap them up!  Some will travel to Florida.  Some will stay in Milwaukee and some will journey to Minnesota.  Belinda can't make up her mind where she'd like to go.  I think she'll go where the milk is! :)

Advent Calendar - Day 1

While I'm home with Belinda, I read a lot of blogs.  One in particular is going to do a Christmas Countdown Calendar with a photo a day as a version of an Advent Calendar.  I've decided to challenge myself to do the same thing.  Some days it will be a photo of Belinda - other days might be something we've done to prepare for Christmas this year.  It will be a challenge to myself to take a photo a day and upload it, but I'm going to try.

Belinda is holding on to the manager for Baby Jesus.  She's ready for Christmas to come.

Tap dancing

It has been a while since I've posted on here.  But I plan to catch up over this weekend.

Happy Halloween!

October ended with a beautiful chilly but sunny day.  Belinda was Tigger, Brad was a Jedi and Sara was Sara in Halloween themed clothes.  We spent the afternoon at Scott and Margie's house.

Belinda went for a walk with the big kids trick-or-treated. She joined her cousin Isabelle and her birthday twin Aldyn and Aldyn's older brother Caden.

Earlier in the week, we hosted dinner before the big Packers - Vikings footbal game.  Guess which side the majority of people were rooting for?

Other events that week - Belinda learned how to tap dance on the couch. She works her way around on the floor until her feet touch the couch and starts tapping away. 

Belinda also practiced sitting up.  She is very proud of herself.  She hopes you all had a fabulous Halloween!

6 Months Old

Belinda is 6 months old!  She weighs 19 pounds and 11 ounces and is 27 inches long.  We have a healthy baby girl on our hands.

Belinda is working on her sitting skills.  She's pretty good at it.  She's learning how to grab things that are close to her.

Grandma Cheryl came for a visit and had Belinda in fits of giggles.

Belinda also uses the infant/toddler section of her bathtub.  She sits up and is learning how to splash the water. She enjoys grabbing for the faucet, but we keep the water flowing down into the sink.

October has been a glorious month for weather and Belinda's development.  Belinda is really getting vocal about her opinions.  She yells for things when she's frustrated, bored or just wants a change of pace.  We look forward to see how she grows and changes over the next few months.

Fall Fun!

Belinda has been on a few adventures these past few weeks.  First we had Fall Bonanza 2010 the weekend of October 9-10.  We visited the Homestead Animal Farm Corn Maze.

The sun was a bit bright for Belinda.

This weekend we took Belinda camping.  It was another glorious weekend.  It was beautiful and Belinda enjoyed looking at all the leaves falling around her.

Belinda slept in a little bed we borrowed from our friends Jim and Julia.  She did great.  It was Sara who was worried about her little icicle hands.

We took Belinda on a beautiful walk.  She enjoyed watching the leaves.

It was a fun thing to take Belinda camping.  We want to do it more in the future.  Brad sees a popup in our future as well.  Belinda had food wherever we went and we just layered her up in warm clothes for sleeping.

Cozy Belinda

Sara started to knit again and Belinda is the lucky recipient of many cozy knit objects.

Belinda is very cozy in this hooded sweater.  She wears it every night for her evening walks with dad.

Hats are the quickest thing to make.  This hat is made from cozy bamboo yarn.

This hat is a bit big.  But Belinda wears it with pride.  Sara finished it when she was sleeping and almost tried it on Belinda when she woke for her nighttime feeding.  Luckily she waited till morning and Belinda was happy to model it.

Sara has made other hats that Belinda wore when she was a newborn.  There will definitely be more homemade hats in Belinda's future.
