Surprise!
This past weekend my dear friends Lea and Bridget threw me a lovely baby shower. The big surprise was my mother showed up. It was very nice of her to drive eight hours to spend 24 hours here in Milwaukee. The shower was extremely relaxed and successful. I want to thank everyone who attended, especially Bridget and Lea for doing such a wonderful job of showering me with love and attention.
Highlights included:
· The waterbreaking game – which Julia won with help of Dr. Crockpot. (The first person to melt their baby out of an icecube won. Lea said we could not use the microwave, so Julia outsmarted the rules.)
· Taste testing baby food – Note to self: bananas taste delicious, macaroni and cheese does NOT! Congrats to Geeta and Katie F. for winning that game.
· The Price is Right – Katie Plute won this game. I wonder how she knows so much about pricing baby food and baby care items.
· The delicious food – Cakes shaped like baby bibs, 3 kinds of dip for veggies, meatballs, crackers, chips and more! Women in Wisconsin know how to put on a spread!
· The after-party discussion of crazy shows like, “I didn’t know I was pregnant!” and other pregnancy reality shows.
Thanks for the lovely gifts – Baby Felber is going to be comfy in his/her new blankets, quilts and clothes, secure with his/her new monitor and health kit, happy with his/her new toys and clean in the new bathtub with all the new pampering products!
