Belinda's First Week at Home

Visitors

Three generations!  Auntie Lindsey and Grandma Cheryl came

to meet the first granddaughter.  They were very helpful and left

a fridge full of food.

First Walk Outside

Mom and Dad took Belinda for a walk.  Mom made it up

the street and Dad went down to the corner.  It was a very

windy day.  We did meet our neighbors.  Newborns bring

out all the curious people.

Our Next Generation

We visited Mom's work and Belinda received

a lot of Welcome cards from Mom's students.  They

are very excited to meet her.

Belinda's new chair

When Mom and Dad are eating dinner Belinda watches

from her new bouncy chair.  She is usually awake during

dinner time, so we're teaching her how a family eats.  We

are utilizing the kitchen table instead of the TV trays.  It is

a new habit for us.

Monkey Model

Each month Belinda will pose with the monkey model.

She was very grateful for the monkey who tried on

all her knitted hats before she was born.  Now she's

happy to show how big she gets next to the little

monkey.

Tree Down!

On Thursday afternoon as Belinda took a nap, half a tree

fell in our front lawn.  It was quite startling, but didn't do

much damage.  We were enjoying a TV show and saw the

crash while hearing the scrape of siding.  Brad had a fun

afternoon of cutting the branch in pieces and moving it to

the concrete slab.  Belinda never even knew it happened.

Over all she had a nice week - mostly sleeping through

all her adventures.  She is a good eater and doesn't like

diaper changes.  She loves her bouncy chair and her cousins

Isabelle and Alina, who already came to meet her.
